Brandworks Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to support the advancement of India’s indigenous Rechargeable Battery Technology (RBT) ecosystem.
The MoU was signed during the Industry Meet hosted by MeitY under the leadership of Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, with the objective of accelerating innovation and commercialization in next-generation battery technologies.
As part of this collaboration, Brandworks Technologies will work towards advancing lithium-ion battery technology for applications across consumer electronics, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and intelligent electronic devices. The initiative aligns with India’s vision of strengthening self-reliance in advanced electronics manufacturing and sustainable energy solutions.
The Industry Meet highlighted the work being carried out by the Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Rechargeable Battery Technology at CMET, Pune, focused on indigenous development of lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and lithium-polymer technologies.
With its strong manufacturing foundation, in-house R&D capabilities, and expertise in Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), Brandworks aims to contribute towards developing scalable, cost-effective, and high-performance battery solutions tailored for future-ready applications.
The collaboration further reinforces Brandworks Technologies’ commitment to innovation-led manufacturing and its larger vision of building globally competitive technology solutions from India for the world.
Ishwar Kumhar, Founder & CEO, Brandworks Technologies, and Nikita Kumawat, Managing Director, Brandworks Technologies, represented the company during the signing ceremony alongside senior officials from MeitY.
