Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Identification & Development
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for electronic components and materials.
- Establish strong sourcing partnerships with suppliers across Asia, primarily in China.
- Conduct regular supplier assessments to ensure capability, quality, and compliance.
Procurement & Negotiation
- Manage the complete sourcing cycle: RFQ, quotation analysis, price negotiation, PO release, and delivery follow-up.
- Negotiate commercial terms such as pricing, payment terms, lead times, and shipment schedules.
- Maintain cost competitiveness while ensuring consistent quality and supply reliability.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and product development teams to align sourcing strategies with technical and business needs.
- Ensure timely communication of material updates, availability, and market trends.
- Support new product development (NPD) projects through proactive component sourcing.
Logistics & Compliance
- Coordinate with logistics partners for import shipments and customs clearance.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and import/export regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, supplier records, and procurement reports.
Market & Cost Analysis
- Analyze market trends, component pricing, and supply chain risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and develop cost-reduction and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in supplier audits, trade fairs, and occasional international travel for vendor visits.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering / Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in sourcing or procurement of electronic components (PCBs, ICs, connectors, power supplies, etc.).
- Skills:
- Proven experience in sourcing from China; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of international supply chains, import documentation, and logistics.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and global sourcing platforms (Alibaba, Made-in-China, etc.).
- Location: Vasai (Work from site required).
