Key Responsibilities:
SMT Line Management
- Set up, operate, and maintain SMT production lines as per production plans.
- Ensure proper functioning and calibration of machines such as Pick & Place, SPI, AOI, Reflow Oven, and Screen Printer.
- Manage loading/unloading of components, PCB alignment, and first article verification.
- Monitor line performance and ensure adherence to process parameters and quality standards.
Machine Operation & Maintenance
- Operate and troubleshoot SMT machines like Fuji NXT, AIMEX, XPF, JT RS800 II U Reflow, Fuji GPX-C Screen Printer, ASM Siplace Printer, and Kohyoung AOI/SPI.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and coordinate with service teams when required.
- Maintain records of production data, inspection results, and downtime analysis.
Process & Quality Control
- Ensure optimal solder paste printing, placement accuracy, and reflow quality.
- Conduct SPI and AOI inspections and take corrective actions for defects.
- Implement process improvements to enhance yield, reduce rework, and improve productivity.
- Follow 5S practices, ensure ESD compliance, and maintain clean work environments.
Production Planning & Reporting
- Support production planning teams to achieve daily and monthly targets.
- Maintain component and material inventory data, ensuring traceability and accuracy.
- Prepare reports on line performance, defect trends, and manpower utilization.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma / ITI in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 4–6 years of hands-on experience in SMT operations within an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SMT equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in AOI/SPI programming (Kohyoung preferred).
- Familiar with Fuji Flexa software and SMT conveyor systems (Nutek, YJ Link, Whitt).
- Knowledge of reflow profiling, stencil printing, and component handling.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
