Educational Qualification
Education & Experience:
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Acoustics, Electrical, Mechanical, Audio Engineering, or equivalent
- 10–12 years of hands-on experience in acoustic design for consumer audio / electronics
- Proven track record in:
- Speaker system design
- Enclosure interaction
- Acoustic tuning
Skills & Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of acoustic theory, loudspeaker behavior, frequency response, and distortion profiling
- Proficiency in acoustic measurement systems and tuning workflows
- Experience with CAD tools, acoustic simulation software, and prototyping cycles
- Understanding of embedded firmware impact on audio (DSP, EQ integration)
- Familiarity with manufacturing constraints and test calibration in high-volume environments

Responsibilities
1. Acoustic Design & Development
- Define and execute acoustic architecture for consumer audio products (drivers, enclosures, tuning)
- Lead acoustic simulations, frequency response optimization, and prototype design decisions
- Collaborate with Industrial and Mechanical Design teams to optimize enclosure impact on sound performance
2. Tuning & Validation
- Drive sound tuning, calibration, and final voicing to meet target audio signatures
- Plan and execute objective and subjective testing (lab + listening evaluations)
- Use industry tools (e.g., CLIO, Audio Precision, SoundCheck) for measurement and optimization
3. Cross-Functional Execution
- Coordinate with Hardware, Firmware, and Test Engineering teams to ensure design and manufacturability goals are met
- Support certification and compliance with product testing standards
- Advocate for acoustic performance during NPD stages (EVT / DVT / PVT)
4. Troubleshooting & Field Support
- Resolve acoustic performance issues during pilot builds and production ramp-up
- Mentor mid/junior acoustic engineers and promote best practices
Job Summary
Role Overview:
The Senior Acoustic Engineer will own acoustic design, tuning, validation, and performance optimization across audio products such as soundbars, portable speakers, and smart audio peripherals.
The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams—including Mechanical, Electronics, Firmware, Industrial Design, Testing, and NPD leadership—to enhance acoustic quality and deliver a superior customer experience throughout the product lifecycle.
