Minimum 4 years of experience in Local Purchase (Packaging Preferred)
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of packaging materials procurement
Experience in corrugated box costing & packaging specifications
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
Good coordination and follow-up ability
Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
Strong commercial understanding
Key Responsibilities:
Local Procurement & Vendor Development
Source and procure all required packaging materials from local vendors.
Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and lead times.
Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
Cost Control & Commercial Negotiation
Drive cost optimization initiatives.
Maintain rate contracts and conduct periodic price benchmarking.
Monitor packaging raw material market trends.
Production Coordination
Work closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, QA, and NPD teams.
Ensure timely placement of purchase orders as per production plan.
Avoid shortages and manage safety stock levels.
Quality & Specification Compliance
Ensure packaging materials meet approved specifications.
Coordinate with QA for sample approvals and quality checks.
Handle packaging artwork coordination where required.
MIS & Documentation
Maintain purchase records, GRNs, and vendor documentation.
Prepare procurement MIS reports.
Monitor inventory movement and consumption trends.
Job Overview:
