Educational Qualification

Educational Qualification:

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Engineering
    (Electronics / Mechanical / Industrial preferred)
  • Experience in electronics or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong exposure to:
    • Process audits
    • PQC (Process Quality Control)
    • OQC (Outgoing Quality Control)
    • PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection)
    • Customer complaint handling

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems and compliance standards
  • Hands-on experience in process audits, inspections, and defect analysis
  • Strong documentation, audit, and reporting discipline
  • Ability to lead and guide PQC and quality teams on the shop floor
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and execution-focused approach

Responsibilities

1. Process Standardization

  • Ensure adherence to organizational quality standards, SOPs, and compliance frameworks
  • Continuously improve process efficiency and reduce errors, rework, and defects
  • Plan, execute, and manage internal and external process audits
  • Build a strong quality culture through training and knowledge sharing
  • Review daily process audits and ensure observations are recorded and closed
  • Ensure daily quality training is conducted by PQC teams on production lines

2. In-Process Quality Control

  • Ensure ESD audits are conducted as per defined standards
  • Monitor and control line rejections within acceptable limits
  • Drive closure of process non-conformities during production
  • Analyze rejection, scrap, and rework trends and implement corrective actions

3. Quality Assurance Oversight (OQC)

  • Ensure all outgoing products meet internal and customer-defined quality standards
  • Supervise final inspections and ensure defect-free shipments
  • Strengthen outgoing quality through robust inspection and control mechanisms

4. Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Management

  • Oversee PDI processes to confirm product readiness before dispatch
  • Ensure all PDI checklist items are verified, documented, and traceable
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve PDI-related issues

5. Defect Identification & Reporting

  • Identify, document, and report defects and non-conformities
  • Ensure timely closure of quality non-conformances
  • Track defect trends and support corrective and preventive actions

6. Customer Complaint Handling

  • Address customer complaints in a structured and timely manner
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for all complaints
  • Drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure effective communication and closure of customer-related issues
Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Quality is responsible for driving process standardization, in-process quality control, outgoing quality assurance, pre-delivery inspection, defect management, and customer complaint handling across manufacturing operations.

The role ensures adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and compliance frameworks while supporting continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency.
